The very tilt of the earth’s axis—approximately 23.5 degrees—is responsible for the changing seasons. What may appear to be a small detail in God’s design plays a vital role in sustaining life on earth.
In the same way, seemingly small acts of obedience can carry enormous significance in the purposes of God. A prayer, a faithful decision, a step of courage, or an act of integrity may appear insignificant, yet God can use such obedience to shape destinies and influence generations.
Never underestimate the power of faithfulness. What seems small in your hands may be significant in God’s hands.

Burkina Faso has experienced a severe security and humanitarian crisis as armed jihadist groups have expanded their activities across parts of the country and the wider Sahel region.
Since 2015, attacks linked to groups including JNIM and Islamic State–aligned militants have contributed to thousands of deaths, mass displacement, and a deepening humanitarian crisis. Christian communities have also experienced attacks, with churches, pastors, families, and villages among those affected.
Yet, amid immense suffering and uncertainty, many Burkinabé Christians continue to demonstrate remarkable courage and commitment to their faith. Their perseverance reminds the global Church of the call to stand with suffering believers through prayer, practical support, and faithful intercession.

1. Pray for an End to Jihadist Violence
Pray for an end to the violence and insecurity caused by armed jihadist groups operating in Burkina Faso. Ask God to expose violent networks, frustrate plans for further attacks, protect vulnerable communities, and open pathways towards lasting peace and justice.
Scripture: “May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.” — Psalm 68:1
2. Pray for the Suffering and Persecuted Church
Intercede for pastors, church leaders, families, and believers who have suffered because of their faith. Remember those who have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and places of worship. Pray for courage, comfort, healing, and steadfastness for the Church.
Ask that the testimony of believers who remain faithful in the midst of persecution would strengthen the wider Body of Christ and draw many people towards Jesus.

3. Pray for the Internally Displaced
Pray for the millions of Burkinabé who have been displaced from their homes by violence and insecurity. Ask God to provide food, shelter, healthcare, protection, education for children, and opportunities for families to rebuild their lives.
Pray also that, even in the midst of displacement and uncertainty, many would encounter the compassion and love of God through the Church and through those serving vulnerable communities.

4. Pray for the Indigenous Church
Ask God to strengthen and raise up the indigenous Burkinabé Church to play a significant role in the nation’s spiritual and moral restoration.
Pray for pastors, evangelists, missionaries, youth leaders, women, and community leaders to receive wisdom, courage, resources, and divine strategy to serve their communities and proclaim Christ faithfully.
Scripture: “They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.” — Isaiah 61:4
5. Pray for Peace and Restoration
Pray for peace across Burkina Faso and the wider Sahel. Ask God to bring healing to communities divided by violence, restore broken families and livelihoods, and give wisdom to those responsible for leading the nation through its current transition.
Pray that justice, reconciliation, and the protection of human dignity will increasingly characterise the nation’s path forward.
“The cries of the suffering Church have not been ignored. What was meant for destruction is being turned into the spark of a greater awakening, and the light of God will yet shine in the land.”
We declare that Burkina Faso will not be defined only by violence, displacement, or fear. We speak peace over its communities, strength over its Church, and hope over its people.
May God strengthen those who are weary, comfort those who mourn, protect those who are vulnerable, and raise faithful sons and daughters who will serve their nation with courage and integrity.
May the light of Christ shine across Burkina Faso, and may His peace reach every community.
